Wedding Invites

Next up are the wedding invites. The colors of our wedding were Espresso, Pool and Ivory with Lime green accents. I wanted our invitation to be different, and to be an accurate representation of me and my (then) fiancee. It fit us to a T, and was much loved by everyone.

Bridal Shower Invites

It has been way too long since my last post. I was in wedding planning mode during my blog hibernation...but now I am married and ready to continue showing this blog some love!

First up are my bridal shower invites. They were handmade with love! It was a lingerie shower with a healthy mix of naughty and nice. The colors du jour were black, grey and lavender. The outer paper was a very delicate material that reminded me of lace and fit in wonderfully with the lingerie theme. I sent them out in a black envelope and hand wrote each name and address with a silver pen to add a personal touch. I wanted the invites to mirror a sophisticated woman and I didn't want them to be too "girly". The outcome was a happy medium between the two and they were a hit!

Bridesmaids Cards

Yeah, I know, I haven't been keeping up with the blog. Well just to catch you up, I got engaged! Of course that brings up more design projects, but this time for myself! First things first, bridesmaids cards. Here are the designs that I sent out to my girls.

It's a Family Affair

This is my first post of the new year, yay to me! I spoke a few months back about creating a custom registration packet and logo for the Barlow-Divers Family Reunion, but I never posted the pictures of the completed work. Here they are~

Crafty Christmas

Christmas is almost here, and I have been a busy little elf! I decided to forgo the "traditional" Christmas card and make my own. Crafting is something that I am growing a fast love for, so I decided to make my own cards that incorporated a crafty element. Take a look:

Soy Secrets (but this isn't a secret!)

So as I said in my previous post, I was busy (in a good way). Recently, I finished designing the product labels and long awaited Soy Secrets website! Soy Secrets is a company that specializes in creating soy based body products and candles. There are great products available to purchase, and for your reading pleasure there is information regarding the benefits of using soy body products and candles over the traditional product ingredients (great for the skin, harmless to the environment, etc.). Check out the site, and if you like what you see go ahead and place an order :)

Busy...in a good way of course.

It's November already, and looking back on the year I have accomplished many of the goals that I set for '07. Much enlightenment occurred this year as far as what I wanted to do with my skills. So now I am trying to finish up a few things that I wanted to have done this year, and I find myself quite busy. So here is my running total of projects in progress:

  • Soy Secrets- Product labels and website (by the way, this is a company that specializes in soy body products and candles). I am almost done with this project, so pics will be up soon.
  • Barlow Divers Family Reunion- Family reunion logo and custom registration package.
  • Wedding Branding- currently courting two possible clients. I should know their decisions soon!
  • Custom stationery- in the early stages with a client. Trying to get the details worked out so that I can begin designing.
So as you see, there is a lot to keep me up at night (like right now considering it is after 12am and I should be in the bed already). Besides, what better way to end the year than with new pieces to add to my portfolio? Cheers!
