Liberty Belle

Mother's Day is almost here, and I'm just about done packaging card orders. Now that it's spring {AKA wedding season}, I plan to write wedding related posts more often. I haven't posted a wedding inspiration board lately, so I thought I would post this board that I finished a while back {via Polyvore}. I absolutely LOVE this color scheme. An invitation to match this scheme is coming soon...

I'm excited today because one of my Mother's Day cards was added to the treasury of etsy member Amy Cantini. Yay! Take a look! {click me}

Have a splendid day!

Mommy

Hello world! I just wanted to pop in after a three week hiatus and let you know that I now have mother's day cards available on both my etsy and bigcartel shops. Here are a few images of may faves.

I hope your week got off to a great start! If not, try to consciously change it.

Adieu!

Saving Money

I'm all about it now. Simon and I aren't big spenders anyway, but there are always ways to save a little extra. I was so inspired by a post last week from the bloggers of Young House Love. I love their blog. I found them about two months ago, and have been an avid reader ever since. They purchased an older home that needed plenty of upgrades, and they pretty much diy'ed everything (and if you didn't know, I'm all about diy as well!).

So back to the point. After reading this post, I felt an immediate need to reorganize our finances and start cutting back a little more. Now, I'm all about finding a good deal on something rather than buying it without a coupon, gift card, etc. Not to say that I'm never buying full price again, but I'm just going to be more aware of my spending. I'm also going to start planning meals better and try to eat all of the food that we have before going to the grocery store. This means making "creative" meals from the things that are usually an oversight in the pantry. For example, last night I cooked the last two pieces of salmon that we had in the freezer and made a special sauce for them, then made a pasta salad using penne, a little olive oil and asiago and balsamic salad dressing and sprinkled a little parmesan on top. it was a simple meal, and all of the ingredients were at home already. I actually spent a portion of my day trying to decide what to cook from what we already had. Tonight I have a few ideas, so we'll see how that goes!

Another thing that I always do when I am shopping online is check for coupon codes via Retail Me Not. You will more than likely find a coupon code for a percentage off of your purchase, free shipping, a dollar amount off or something like that. Sometimes you may not find something, but it's always a good place to check out before...checking out.

One last thing that I did was attach my Kroger Plus shopping card to the website Shortcuts. You can add coupons to your grocery store shopping cards rather than clipping coupons. Since we eat mainly organic foods, there didn't seem to be much that we could add to our card, but their coupons are updated often, so we'll just keep checking back to see what they have.

These are just a few things that I have done in the past week, so there hasn't been much notice of dollar changes, but I'll check in from time to time to let you know how it's going!

Any other money saving suggestions?

The Chains of Love

Hello beautiful people!
I was doing a little net surfing and came across the shop, The Chains of Love. I love the different pieces of jewelry that they offer. Very refreshing. I never heard of leg chains, but I am loving these-

I also love this earring/necklace combo-

Z Gallerie Field Trip

Yesterday my husband and I hung out outside of the house (something that we don't really do that much). We had lunch at CPK, and went to Ikea. We happened to stop by Z Gallerie because I had been dying to go in for weeks (I saw some great items online and wanted to see them in person). While there, I saw this amazing bed---
Then we saw this one (which Simon flipped for)---
Here are a few more things that we saw and loved:
I absolutely cannot wait to start decorating our home! Has anyone started a new design project around the house?

Ashton's Sweet 16!

I remember when I turned sixteen. I felt like a new person, and when I looked in the mirror in the morning before school, my face looked different. My face looked more mature. It was strange. Even more strange, my face still looks like I'm sixteen according to a lot of people. That's kinda good and kinda bad. Good because it seems that I am going to age well, but bad because I look crazy buying alcohol {stare at my face, stare at my ID, stare at my face again}.

Anyway, I wanted to share the "sweet" sweet 16 birthday party invitations that I completed this week for Ashton. I wanted them to be elegant and fun but still reflective of a teenager. Her favorite color is pink, so of course pink was incorporated. Enjoy!
